agw joins the network of experts with MWIKE, MUNV and MAGS: together, visible and practical

 

28,000 vacancies for skilled labour in climate-related professions in NRW. That is every second unfilled skilled labour position in the state. To counteract this, the industry associations for energy and water supply, wastewater disposal and climate-related professions are now joining forces - under the patronage of Mona Neubaur, Karl-Josef Laumann and Oliver Krischer.

Last week, the network met at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy of the State of NRW and has launched a joint concept paper. Specifically, this involves targeted career guidance, partial and entry-level qualifications and the exploration of funding instruments.

What is often lacking is awareness of the industry. „We should leave no stone unturned to draw attention to the exciting and at the same time meaningful field of activity in the water industry and especially among the water industry associations. Together with the network, we hope to have a positive effect,“ says Jennifer Schäfer-Sack, Managing Director of agw.
